Can anyone interpret the Japanese signs? The dog fell asleep so no help there!

The word on the left is "Reiwa", the name of the new era in which Japan just entered and on the right it is "Heisei" which is the era that has just ended.
In the middle it means something like "good work".
And on the fan held by Kaori it's simply "Japan".

So, it's up to Bradie and Mariah to hold on to their placements for USA to win overall, right? Or could Sofia Samodurova and Gabby Daleman play spoiler and deliver it to Japan?

Well, assuming that Cain/LeDuc comes in fifth (at worst), the US will be 13 points ahead of Jaoan going into the ladies' long. Therefore, the US can afford to come in 7th and 8th place behind Sophia, Gabby and one extreme dark horsewith and Japan placing 1st and 2nd. In this extreme worst case scenerio, the US would finish with 110 points and Japan would have 109. The US has the gold, barring injury or total meltdowns.

Wow...an answer worthy of a Mathperson! I must say this comp has been excellent to watch. The Japanese fans rock. So upbeat and supportive. Need more Margaretta mix for the ladies.(Great skate, Vincent! )

Not sure how long I will be able to stay for this.

As you know, motorbike racing is my first love. There is a World Superbike round in Holland this weekend (the Qualifying sessions and the first SBK race are this morning), and there is a MotoGP round in Texas (Free Practice 3 and Qualifying are this afternoon and this evening).

BUT, there is also a bike show being held about half a mile from my house. And I know from past experience, if you wait until after dinnertime to go down, the exhibitors and guests are already starting to leave.

So, I may be leaving to go to the show during the Ladies FS. And will probably not be able to watch the rest of the Ladies FS until, well, probably Monday.

Hence, I will probably not be able to post a results table for the Ladies as quickly as I have for the other categories.
