Lorine is a strong jumper but is currently still pretty focused on the technical elements. Not that the music helps her here, Tango, while sometimes helpful because it provides a character to play, needs a lot of effort and involvement on the part of the skater.

Nini is a great skater, her spins are amazing (so many unique positions!) and her skating skills are very strong, but she's still very much coming back from an injury. For that, it was a very good skate. I hope her mum won't be too mad at her if she doesn't make the podium, she seems to be a very (unhealthily) ambitious and competitive woman.

Nice contrasting packages for Xian, really like both 2 choreographed programs. Really like her costumes, quite inventive. She is going to be really exciting to see where she develops from here. She does not skate Junior, and has the goods to build into a great future.

Xiangyi is crazy flexible - her spins are amazing. That sideways hold in her flying camel and the way she releases the blade across her body as she comes upright, the incredibly fast Biellmann, the I spin at the end. She has lots of promise, so well-rounded for a JGP debutant.
