but didn't pop everything .. so it's a good day
A good day for russian men, indeed! when they don't pop everything
Makar did so well for his debut! totally unexpected!
Makar has been competing well this season.
Makar has been competing well this season.
Aliev did it again with having one of his jumps (3Lz) invalidated due to Zayak-ing. He has done it 2-3 times before. When he pop his 4T to 3T and then jump 4T again, ive been thinking please dont do 3Lz again since he already repeat 3T and 4T.... but he did it. If he take out the lutz and do flip instead he could win!! He need more practice to think about plan B layout, but nice skate overall and congratulations for qualifying to GPF along with Samarin!
I think Dima needs to start doing jump math during his programs. He is making me bald with his invalidated jumps each competition
It's hard to do the math in the moment, if you start to slow down you may lose the rhythm on your jumps and everything can fall apart.
I'd say more they should start to practice plan Bs just in case something goes wrong especially with the quad lutz.
You can even see in the background during his flying camel spin, Valentin Molotov and Rukavicin probably discussing about that.

Anyway the mistake wasn't too costly here, it seemed judges really wanted to give the gold to Samarin anyway.
Just because ladies prefer Dima the prince charming, Smarin shouldn't be underscored
oh but Samarin isn't...he is overscorred
Does anyone else see Samarin's free program costume as a V for Vendetta reference, or is that just me?
