Given what I saw today, one can only imagine the grisly horrors we have in store waiting for us. Yes judges, that was directed at you.

I'm yet to watch the RD (was about to turn the VPN on to go to NBC Gold), what happened?

I did watch the RD and I have the same question. Nothing crazy happened in my opinion... at least nothing that crazy.

Really hoping my pastor doesn't get long winded tomorrow or I'm going to miss Kaitlin and Jean Luc.

I think Madi and Evan and Piper and Paul were obviously underscored. I mean the scores are really close but sloppy performances shouldn't lead over excellent ones when the teams are more or less close in ability.

I really don't think this should be a slam dunk for H/D but I'm afraid regardless of what we see on the ice it will be. (And for the record, having seen them live I do get what people mean about their skating skills, but that really shouldn't be the only point of consideration!)

I've just listened to Vincent (Starry, starry night) and I'm already tearing up. I can't wait to watch Piper & Paul's beautiful FD. Despite all the beauty, they probably won't end up on the podium, but I hope they'll get as close to Bronze as poss.

Baked maccaroni in the over, currently in state of gathering my wits over what will happen, I guess that's the price of being so emotionally invested over something...

My only wish is to PSquared shine as bright as 'Starry, Starry Night' and gather even more fans of their unique, precious brand of artistry. If they cannot be backed by judges, audience is one to convince. The sheer power and impact of this program's concept and design is one thing, if it is strongly executed, all bets are off and I will stay with this thought, hanky in hand and shaking inside.

Am I the only one feeling sad because of the fact that the ice dances in four continents of the world (all, but Europe) are represented by 12 teams only, and 7 of them (almost 60%) come from one rink only? Adding to this the consistently decreasing number of pair teams in the world makes the picture even worse. Doesn't this ring a bell in anybody else's head (mainly of the ISU bosses)????

I've always been a little lukewarm on Chock and Bates, but I am really looking forward to seeing them today in the free. They seem to have come back with a renewed vigor and spark, and I loved their programs at Nats. Happy that she seems to be over her injury. Such a small point difference at this point between 1 and 2. Looks like anything can happen. Best of luck to them!

They could, yes, but only if Hubbell and Donohue make visible errors that force the judges to give them negative GOE.

Or if the judges give Madi and Evan the points they deserve in Performance and Interpretation

Edit: Who am I kidding, that will never happen :noshake:

Ditto. But they are both two ends of one stick and for me it is more probably to see BAU judges with H/D than venting out and reward C/B. First is safe & expected, second is risky and could mess with current state of things. However, RD and relatively small difference kinda perked my hopes a little:laugh:, like Chock/Bates threw judges off balance a bit with such great performance from execution side, they really make strides with their programs.
