OK, so we have just had an unscheduled resurfacing. Good! I thought it was madness having all the Ice Dancing segments going back-to-back without having a refresh to the ice in the middle.

Oh dear, I was partying maybe a bit too hard today and now my brain has obviously turned into mush because I watched junior men at Winter Star and was disappointed that Nikolai Ugozhaev wasn't on the entry list anymore while in fact he skated here in Hungary! And he skated right into the lead after the SP. Well done Kolya!

Welcome to the club! I was getting so confused yesterday too with 3 competition threads, 4 streams, and 6 sets of Entries / Results pages open. And all while trying to watch the Olympic Men's FS at the same time (that is why there was an extra stream and Entries / Results Page open).

Did you see that Pesendorfer was missing in Slovenia? But, Schaller was still there.

Did you see that Pesendorfer was missing in Slovenia? But, Schaller was still there.

Yes, I think after Pesendorfer got Worlds TES minimums (and a gold medal) at Sofia Trophy last week she didn't need Dragon Trophy anymore. I still can't believe that Austria has two spots for women at Worlds.

I forgot to say when this started - what a surreal situation this is.

We have the Cypriot and Italian partnerships fighting over the win.

And we have FOUR sibling partnerships fighting over the remaining positions.

Phew. Arrived back from getting washed just in time for my kids.

I'm going to say the same thing I say every time I see this programme:

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

There was one moment towards the end of the programme where I wasn't sure whether Ilia had lost his balance or whether it was part of the choreography. But, apart from that, it was sublime!

They score 83.59 points to win the FS. And they core 140.18 points to win overall.



Like yesterday, these are their lowest scores of the season. But, who cares? They got the job done, and won by a big margin. So, they didn't need to be scoring PB's.

It is interesting to note that the Top 2 partnerships went clean in the FS, but all four of the sibling partnerships had a deduction. I'm not sure whether the skating gods are trying to tell us something with that.

Anyway, it's two wins on the trot for Angelina and Ilia.
