Gogolev!!!! I can't wait to see how well he does. Makes it easier we don't have to wait as long to see. We've been hyping him up for a while now and now he's FINALLY junior-eligible.

Also Gogolev, Sumoto, Savosin and Grassl. Impressive.

I'm eager to see them, plus Shcherbakova, Tarusina, Yokoi and Tornaghi between the ladies.

I wouldn't worry about him one bit. He will skate later events just like Shevchenko / Eremenko who also aren't named here.

Atakhanova / Volodin is also absent here but I am very confident that they too will skate at later events.

Sergey Rozanov has said that Daniel Grassl was impressive at training and landed 4Lz+3T+3Lo in practice at Courchevel camp.

Men’s lineup looks stacked. Should he exciting with all of the quads brought by Grassl, Gogolev & Savosin (not to discount Ruhkin,Carrillo,Sumoto or Torgashev) but geeez.

I agree we should not discount them, and I for one am looking forward *far more* to the skating and performance skills of Andrew T., Donovan, and Mitsuki than the quadsters. Faaaaar more:love: Why I love the junior men so much more than the ladies, the performers are still in the hunt, not just jump da jump jump :agree:

Different strokes for different folks:biggrin:

Not bad for a 13-year old competing against 18-year-olds in his first international junior season. GO stephen!

Have you seen Stephen.G's SP? beautifully performed (Spins and choreo) for a 13 year old boy not just "jump da jump jump quadster" he has shown signs of artistry already and as he grows it will only get better.

ITA! :agree: I had seen Gogolev compete in person at the Skate Canada Challenge in Dec. 2017, and considering that he had kept "Run Boy Run" from last season (which makes it easier to compare), I've noticed a definite improvement in his presentation skills, and he's also more graceful on the ice.

Here's Stephen's SP from the 2018 Minto Summer Skate for those of you who have not seen it yet (I've cut this from the Skate Ontario archived livestream, while the vid which is on YouTube is a screen recording): https://vimeo.com/282102356

I'm sorry my friends.

I was not thinking of Stephen G when I wrote the jump da jump iump; as I stated, I was actually thinking of the ladies. ETA: For some reason, I don't include Stephen in the category "quadsters" and I know I should, because he has them:scratch2:) For a 13 year old, I look forward to seeing Stephen grow and improve.

There is no way, shape or form that his artistry compares to that of my beloved Andrew T. Or that his performance skills match those of the charming Donovan C. He may well finish ahead of them due to the jumps, but those are the standards to which he should aspire, and I'm sure he will:agree:

Go Andrew! :clapper: Go Donovan! :hap10:

From the ISU entry page:
Coach Brian Orser is the 2984 and 1988 Olympic silver medalist.

Great to know that Brian will be back some time. Shame, I won't be around to watch him. :laugh2:

Omg, less than 2 days until the start of the JGP! I'm gonna to try to wake up early. I probably will since my dog loves coming into my room to sniff my trash can and my room for any crumbs.
