Why isn't anybody mentioning Wang/Liu and their Pirates of the Carribean Tango? Cheering for them, Chock/Bates, and of course Piper and Paul (please get them levels please)

This dance competition is making me kick myself for not trying harder to see it in person. Had it not been for the urgent home repairs we needed last week, I could have done it. (*kicks self again*)

Actually, when I heard how ice dance scoring is REALLY done, I decided to just watch and enjoy the performance art....I will be watching Wang/Liu....and everyone else.

When I first retired, I had an easy drive to Portland and see MK win her final Nats.....I didnt do it. :( I am STILL kicking myself. You have time...
Buy any sort of ticket and nonchalantly move up.
Call in sick.
Just do it.
Any money you have to pay on the credit card you will not miss like you are gonna miss seeing all these greats together.....

^ now, after starting to go for competitions live, I get it. Someone smart told me there, in GS Forum, before my YOLO trip for IdF that figure skating careers are not very long and I should take every chance I get to go & see them live. So I decided to save, save, save & go, go, go:) :) :)

My time is my own, but the house ate all the money, and we're saving the credit cards for the car repairs that will be necessary soon. It's a minor tragedy, but I'll get over it. Eventually. (*snivels*)

Excellent! Please tell me when I will get over Missing Nats Portland......I got about 8 years left and then I will stop missing her....Hey, I got an idea for a country western song....:yahoo:

"I stopped missing Portland today....
They laid a wreath upon my stone....."

“Harold Hill: You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays. I don't know about you, but I'd like to make today worth remembering.”

So I decided to save, save, save & go, go, go:) :) :)
Good plan! Part of my problem was that I had scrimped for so many years so that I could retire that it was hard to allow myself to actually spend the money....but once I saw how little it really took to live in retirement and how all those taxes went away and how low the tax bracket became, I opened up the wallet and went to Worlds LA 2009, and saw what was for me the defining comp of my fan carrerr, seeing about all of my fav skaters, most of which are now history....so your plan is sound...save save save, go go go!

Back to the topic...I think we are going to see some good dancing and good comp here, although my pleas to the ISU to change the dance to the FinnStep were for naught......

The Finnstep is so charming! You’ve sent me down a black hole of looking up patterns now! xD

It is indeed for me, actually lately I thought about Lilah and Lewis and their next programs and I think that they could really shine in such type of dance:)

I know right? It has a big personality aspect!
But we’re going off topic now... xD

I’ve been seeing that this might be more competitive than the Ice Dance was in Minsk however as talented as the teams are here personally I think it’s almost equal. The Canadanes and Weaver & Poje are a big question mark in terms of placement.

Not going to be watching the Short Dance, due to the need for sleep. But, I'll catch up tomorrow after I finish the Men's Short. And I'll add in the links to the archived livestreams when I get up tomorrow morning.

Here is the link for the ISU livestream on the Eurovision Sports website:
https://www.eurovisionsports.tv/isu/single-pair-skating-ice-dance/live.html?id=2419

And here is the link for the World Feed coverage on the British Eurosport Player (starts in 2 hours from now):
https://gb.eurosportplayer.com/even...ee-dance/954dc859-c998-4671-9fcc-00529168a5df

Unfortunately, none of the Short Programmes are being shown on Eurosport's linear channels. :disapp:

Here is the Time Schedule of the Short Dance:
http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1819/fc2019/fc2019_IceDance_RD_TimeSchedule.pdf

And here is the Live Scoring:
http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1819/fc2019/SEG007.HTM

Hope this helps.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

Oh dear, the entire second group is from Gadbois. The coaches are going to be busy bees.

It will probably be short and sweet with only 12 teams, fingers crossed I stay awake and not fall asleep during Zamboni time.
