Indeed! I like Maddi and Zac, but surely they're not so much better than Kaitlin and Jean Luc that there's no competition.

Although I don't know the rules of ice dance so maybe the are?

Maddi's dress seems really on point for Burlesque, Zac looks out of place though!

I will never understand how Madi's dresses are never flattering and I am not even talking about whether or not the dresses are attractive or not. They are so ill fitting. This one is probably her most flattering dress draping even though the length isn't flattering to her legs and the waist is in the wrong place.

So this is Burlesque. Why is his costume hotter than hers? Why is she in a proper ballroom costume and not something more risque? There were so many great costumes in that movie to take inspiration from.

Since I'm not Russian I'm not in love with the Burlesque OST but I think this is infinitely better than last year's RD. The speed is amazing.

They lost some levels there. Honestly, I kind of... miss Daddy? This felt disjointed and bland imo, and I don’t get the dress at all.

Actually Zach's costume is on point, he's dressed like Christina Aguilera's characters bartender love interest, Jack in the film. Madi's costume is what needs the work bigtime. It needs to look more like something in the movie and I'm not even saying it needs to look too risque.

Hmmm, it was an excellent skate no doubt about it, but I dunno I felt like something was missing. I'm not sure what exactly... Kaitlin and Jean-Luc seemed to embody their music, Maddi and Zac not as much, can't say why though!

Their packaging alone will keep Chock and Bates in first. I am shocked Marie-France approved their costumes. It made their skating look heavier and it was SO distracting.

I like this team, but....the dress. Just. No. I get the idea, but this color/style just does not work. For this routine, I would have went with "bitch red" or "ultramarine blue".

I've never seen the musical/movie so that's new info for me.

Perhaps Maddi's dress should be shorter? It does seem a bit long for Burlesque dancing. I think the gold is OK.

Yeah, I liked Caught Out In The Rain but mostly they don’t resonate with me. I don’t mind this year’s free nearly as much as the last two though.
